“ You need two kinds of strength to beat cancer: the physical to endure it all, but also the emotional and spiritual strength that keep you from giving up. ”

- Angela

A very strong young woman indeed – Angela is no stranger to unexpected loss, difficult life changes and incredible personal struggle.

At fifteen, this athletic teenager was diagnosed to have Hodgkin's lymphoma. Her life experiences include unexpected twists and turns and all the challenges that come with transition to a new town, an unfamiliar school and making new friends.

Angela’s inner power and resilience is a foundation built upon physical fitness and spiritual and emotional strength. It is her unique outlook and inter-personal ability that was shining through with her wish. She did not want to simply focus on her situation, but preferred to celebrate with and raise awareness for others and all childhood cancers. What a bright spot – Angela!

Our typical wishes are about meeting someone, going somewhere, getting to do something or getting something. For her to want something that benefited others as much as herself shows what a unique person she really is. ”
